Notice 2

Dear all,

Greetings from the Office of 2010 PEACE CAMP for YOUTH!

We have important information for the participants of the first upcoming Camp.

1. We will be selecting a representative for the camp participants. If you want to be the representative and are willing to help the other participants, please inform us by e-mail. We will consider your application.

2. We are going to the Seoul National Cemetery on the 2nd day of the Camp. There will be many memorial stones for the veterans of the Korean War. If you want to pay tribute to your grandfathers or family members there, please let us know. We will prepare some flowers for you.

3. We would like to hear your grandfather's experiences or your own personal experiences related to the Korean War. If you have any stories to share with others, please inform us by e-mail.

4. There are certain places that we will be visiting during the Camp, which requires you to follow a dress code. You should dress in proper attire when you visit the Seoul National Cemetery, the War Memorial of Korea, the UN Cemetery in Busan, and the DMZ. Following the dress code will be particularly important at the DMZ.

The dress code of the DMZ is as follows:

No blue jeans of any style and any color;

No shorts, T-shirts, mountain clothes or sleeveless/collarless tops;

No slippers or sandals (dress sandals might be okay);

No tight fitting clothes or training wear; and

If you are in service, wear service or ordinary duty uniforms or ceremonial full dress (combat dress, flight dress and working dress are not allowed).

The dress code is very strict so be cautious.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Thank you and kind regards.
